Get To Know Me

Hi, I’m Olga.

I’m the woman behind the passport stamps, the questionable shopping decisions, and the ongoing existential crisis you’re all invited to follow.

Officially, I’m a Congolese woman born and raised in Europe, currently based in London (send help, or at least send sunshine — the weather here is a personal attack). Unofficially, I’m a serial traveller, recovering overthinker, and someone who booked a two-week trip to Seoul and Tokyo because my life plan collapsed and a bibimbap felt like a more productive use of my time than a five-year plan.

I write about travel, not as a guide to places, but as a way of understanding people, culture, and myself. I write about modern life, the habits we’ve quietly accepted, and the assumptions we rarely stop to question. Sometimes I write about career, sometimes about relationships, sometimes about the strange comfort of getting lost. But every story starts from the same place: curiosity.

What I didn’t expect was how many of them would start with « so I got lost » and end with « and that’s when I figured something out. » Turns out wandering without Google Maps does more for the soul than any self-help book I’ve bought and never finished.

I don’t claim to have life figured out. I’m not perfectly imparfaite for no reason.  In fact, the older I get, the more comfortable I become with uncertainty. What I do know is that some of life’s greatest lessons arrive unexpectedly—when we leave the itinerary behind, step away from the noise, or simply allow ourselves to see the familiar differently.

If my words encourage you to pause, reflect, or look at the world with a little more curiosity, then this space has served its purpose.

Welcome, and thank you for being here.
